Washington D.C, 22 January 2021 – Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the US Marko Djuric gave a lecture and engaged in a discussion with students attending Conflict Management Program at SAIS (School of Advanced International Studies), Johns Hopkins University.

The topic was Belgrade – Pristina Dialogue in the broader context of security, political, economic, social, rule of law and international relation issues.

Ambassador Djuric shared his experience and views on the key challenges of the Belgrade – Pristina Dialogue. He emphasized the need for retaining stability in the region as a precondition for further economic recovery and growth of Serbia. Therefore, Ambassador Djuric underlined the importance of joint efforts towards a more comprehensive political resolution.

He shared a view of the region based on European model without boundaries with free flow of people and goods and greater connections in every sense.

The introductory note made by the Ambassador was followed by a fruitful interaction with students in which the Ambassador addressed a set of questions posed by the students.

Additionally, Ambassador Djuric noted the importance of maintaining and fostering relations between Serbia and the US that will let for discovering new areas of cooperation in promoting peace and stability in the Balkans and that will provide new economic opportunities.
