Washington D.C, March 5, 2021 - Two pieces of artwork from Wayland Baptist University art professor Dejan Mraovic, MFA, were selected for a retrospective show “REACH: 50+ year of Works by Ohio Graphic Design Alumni” at the Ohio University.

The first poster features six banknotes designed for the National Bank of Serbia in Belgrade. The front and back of each dinar bill show “the greatest sons and daughters of Serbia” such as Nikola Tesla.

Mraovic’s second poster shows examples of Serbiana, a sans-serif font he designed with Latin and Cyrillic characters.

Mraovic’s works were done in collaboration with the National Bank of Serbia and will be submitted for consideration for implementation.

The posters will be on display at the Ohio University art show until March 11, 2021.

The exhibition showcases typography, complex communication systems, and the diversity of graphic design in contemporary culture by 20 alumni. It can be viewed online at https://www.ohio.edu/fine-arts/reach.
