The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Mr. Nikola Selaković, sent a congratulatory message to US Secretary of State, Mr. Anthony Blinken on the occasion of US Independence Day, in which he wished progress and well-being to the American states and people.

"I want to express my belief that the overall relations of our two countries will continue to progress successfully in all areas of mutual importance and in the spirit of traditional friendship and mutual understanding, which obliges us to the significant jubilee that we proudly celebrated last year – 140 years since the establishment of diplomatic relationship", the minister's congratulatory message states.

Mr. Selaković thanked the US for their continued support for continuing dialogue between Belgrade and Priština, Serbia's European path, as well as for their support for our efforts to preserve peace and stability in the Western Balkans region.

He also stated that he was convinced that the strengthening of economic ties, which are the most promising segment of our relations, would be an additional motive for deepening all forms of cooperation.

"In anticipation of the opportunity to exchange opinions on further modalities for the rapprochement of the ties between our two peoples, please accept the expressions of my high regard," the congratulatory message of the head of Serbian diplomacy states.
