The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Washington D.C. was one of forty embassies that participated in this year's Embassy Chef Challenge.

The event was organised at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and according to the organisers, this year it gathered the largest number of participants and guests.

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia was represented by Chef Branislav Pavić, who presented the specialties of Serbian national cuisine to the professional judges and visitors to the event.

The culinary challenge was accompanied by a cultural and artistic programme. Serbian Cultural Center "Opančići" from Washington D.C., at the invitation of the Embassy, ​​presented the Serbian folk dancing.

The winner of this year's culinary challenge was the People's Republic of China.
