The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Washington and Anacostia Arts Centre, in cooperation with the Art For All Gallery from Belgrade, jointly participated in the Finding A Way project.

The project is a result of the initiative of the Art For All Gallery and Elisabeth Escobar, wife of Gabriel Escobar, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, who became a big fan of Serbian art during her stay in Belgrade.

The exhibition of works of nine contemporary Serbian artists was officially opened on 20 October at the Anacostia Arts Centre and will be open until 5 November.

The group exhibition aims to present the Serbian contemporary art scene and show the original style of each of the artists who gave a special expression to Serbian contemporary art in the second half of the XX and the beginning of the XXI century. Andon Sapundži, Deputy Chief of Mission, Marija Milošević, owner of the Art For All Gallery and curator of the exhibition Finding A Way, as well as Elisabeth Escobar, addressed the attendees.
