First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić met today at the Ministry with the Ambassador of Serbia to Washington, Marko Đurić, to consult on activities aimed at improving Serbian-American cooperation.

Minister Dačić and Ambassador Đurić agreed that the recent opening of the new Embassy of Serbia in Washington, just over half a mile from the White House, will undoubtedly contribute to a better representation of our country on American soil.

“The opening of the new embassy testifies to the ever-stronger ties between our two countries and the determination to take them to a higher level,” Dačić said.

The head of Serbian diplomacy reiterated the foreign policy priorities of our country and called for increased involvement of ambassadors in accordance with the national interests of Serbia, with special reference to the possibility of intensifying bilateral and multilateral relations.
